Romania – Ireland Chamber of Commerce wishes to thank the participants in our first 2008 meeting for their enjoyable presence and warm welcome to our new members.
In an intimate, relaxed atmosphere provided by Molly's, thanks to Mr. David Larkin, the large number of guests enjoyed a pint of Guinness and a couple of hours of intense networking.
We would like to acknowledge the attending of a very special guest, Mr. Dumitru Prunariu, the famous Romanian astronaut and of Mr. David Noonan, first secretary within the Irish Embassy.
Definitely the evening's attraction was the introduction and membership certificates awarding of Benclinov & Associates, Urban & Associates and Plus Media Com.
The welcome speech was held by Mr. Eduard Uzunov, president of CCRI, who underlined the necessity of developing the Chamber in order to strengthen the Romanian – Irish ties.
Together with us we had sturdy partners and dear friends such as: Jose Iacobescu, president of the Bilateral Chambers Union, Victor Benga of Royal FB Consulting, Jackie and Andrei Bojor of FRD Center, Martin Maher from ShoreBank International, John Ball from Turbomecanica, John Houghton of Mivan and Victoria Houghton of Next Romania, Luminita Tudorie from Tal Aviation (Air Lingus), Madalina Cretu from Malev, Sorin Istrate of Contexpert, a young and professional team from Romanian Agency for Foreign Investment among which Daniel Prunariu, Alexandru Arsene and Razvan Ionescu, Adrian Stefancu form Romanian Municipalities Association, Dan Baclesanu from ARIES and Luciana Lazarescu from Foundation for a Better Life.
Many plans were made during the evening, among which fraud prevention seminars with Urban & Associates, more networking options for Benclinov & Associates, event consolidation and development with Plus Media Com, well known for the Condominium real estate fair, more CCRI meetings both in Romania and in Ireland and – why not – a sensational trip to the Galway International Oyster Festival in September.
Overall it was a beautiful evening with great people. To those who missed it we can say: No problem! February meeting will take place soon.
See you soon!
